Here’s Your ‘Kew!’ Royal Botanic Gardens Hosts Annual Festival

Kew the Music Comes to Iconic Royal Botanic Gardens in July

Kew the Music is a 6-day music festival extravaganza that takes place in the historic and iconic Royal Botanic Gardens (Kew Gardens). This annual event includes a series of live music performances in the form of outdoor ‘picnic’ concerts for your summer enjoyment. Set against the beautiful view of the Victorian Temperate House, in years past the festival has drawn notable names such as James Morrison and the Gipsy Kings.

This year’s festival boasts popular headliners like Blondie, Paul Weller, Leona Lewis, and Jools Holland and his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra.

One of the best things about this festival is that they offer to give you the VIP experience with options for picnic hampers and a BBQ at the Pavilion Restaurant with reserved seating.

Details, Details, Details

From 9 through 14 July, 2013, Kew the Music will be bringing you incredible top-name performers, delicious food and drink options, and even a choice to upgrade to VIP status. General admission seating opens at 6pm daily, and the Kew offers a variety of ready-made gourmet food and beverages that are available in case you didn’t have time to pack a picnic in advance.

Most ticket prices for the festival range from 37 to 46 pounds with a handy discount for children under a certain age, making this a truly family-friendly event.

This event is the chance to witness one of the season’s hottest festivals in the flesh. If you can help it, don’t miss your chance to see these musicians perform against the magnificent background that is Kew Gardens.

Summer Festival Payoff

At many summer music festivals, you’re not allowed to bring in food or drinks, so Kew the Music is truly a unique way to experience a summer event. You might actually end up saving a pound or two by going to a picnic festival such as this, instead of attending an event where you must purchase all of your own food and beverages.

And the Royal Botanic Gardens are always worth the trip. The spiritual home of botany in the UK, the immense gardens include cool attractions like the British Woodland Garden as well as the fragile beauty of the Rose Garden.

Join the lucky attendees at Kew the Music this July for a stellar music experience set against a backdrop that’s one of the most beautiful in London.
